We have talked many times about our technology for gathering, processing and clustering data.
This time, I want to explain how our technology is incorporated into an online catalogue designed exclusively to offer the most complete service possible during the aftermarket sales process.
This is accomplished by implementing highly specific features but, above all, by managing data in a very different way from how all the other catalogues in the market do.
Elecsys, a groundbreaking catalogue for starter motors and alternators, was originally released in 1997 (and we’re proud to say we still have customers from that period!).
In 2014 we launched the first online version of Elecsys, and in June 2021 the latest multiproduct version which expands the product families by including data on A/C compressors, Turbo Chargers and others.
But, why do the best parts specialists continue to use the electronic catalogue ELECSYS if multiple catalogues based on TECDOC data exist? What does ELECSYS do better than TECDOC? These are the four main pillars which set it apart:
1) Independence from the components industry. TECDOC is a company which belongs to the vehicle parts manufacturers. ELECSYS, on the other hand, belongs to a software company with no interests or strategies in product commercialisation: our top priority is helping customers.
2) Free for data providers. TECDOC charges data providers to be able to publish information, which makes it difficult to find local, small or highly specialised suppliers. ELECSYS, however, incorporates all existing market knowledge to display all solutions with no exceptions, conditions or barriers.
3) Historical data. With each update, TECDOC replaces all the information with the latest data provided by data suppliers, deleting all previously existing solutions. ELECSYS, however, preserves a record of all the information appearing on the market, keeping the catalogue user informed on where each record of data comes from and what year it was published.
4) Equivalent solutions search technology. TECDOC displays the equivalences which the various data providers themselves have listed in the database. ELECSYS, on the other hand, also proposes equivalent solutions not explicitly listed in the database, increasing the solutions found by at least +20% with respect to any other electronic catalogue.
For all these reasons, ELECSYS is the perfect complement for any catalogue of the market, displaying suppliers and equivalent solutions unavailable in any other database, significantly improving customer service and sales.
