{"id":2831,"date":"2020-04-04T08:36:53","date_gmt":"2020-04-04T08:36:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/?p=2831"},"modified":"2020-04-04T08:36:53","modified_gmt":"2020-04-04T08:36:53","slug":"impact-covid-19-automotive-parts-aftermarket-demand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/en\/impact-covid-19-automotive-parts-aftermarket-demand\/","title":{"rendered":"Impact of COVID-19 on automotive parts aftermarket demand"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>COVID-19 disease is hitting the world economy as never seen before, but, <strong>how is it really impacting on the volume of aftermarket demand in the different countries?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">We have analyzed in detail the aftermarket demand of last 6 months in different countries, period analyzed is:<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>October 3rd 2019 \u2013 April 3rd 2020<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4>Lets see demand volume chart on some of main countries:<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>China<\/strong>: Demand plummeted to <strong>-100%<\/strong> in mid-January 2020, but has gradually been recovering until returning to normal volume.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-China.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2820\" src=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-China.png\" alt=\"COVID-19 Demanda China\" width=\"891\" height=\"522\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Italy<\/strong>: Demand began to decline in late February 2020, down <strong>-60%<\/strong> until mid-March. From then until now the volume of demand remains stable at<strong> -60%<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-Italia.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2821\" src=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-Italia.png\" alt=\"COVID-19 Demanda Italia\" width=\"893\" height=\"522\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Spain<\/strong>: demand plummeted by <strong>-50%<\/strong> in mid-March 2020 and has been declining to <strong>-70%<\/strong> in the first week of April.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-Espa\u00f1a.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2822\" src=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-Espa\u00f1a.png\" alt=\"COVID-19 Demanda Espa\u00f1a\" width=\"888\" height=\"523\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>France<\/strong>: demand plummeted by <strong>-50%<\/strong> in mid-March 2020 and has been stable at<strong> -50%<\/strong> until the first week of April.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-France.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2823\" src=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-France.png\" alt=\"COVID-19 Demanda France\" width=\"895\" height=\"519\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Germany<\/strong>: Demand fell by <strong>-20%<\/strong> in mid-March 2020 and has been stable at <strong>-20%<\/strong> until the first week of April.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-Germany.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2824\" src=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-Germany.png\" alt=\"COVID-19 Demanda Germany\" width=\"891\" height=\"522\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>United Kingdom<\/strong>: at the beginning of March 2020, demand began to drop by <strong>-5%<\/strong> or <strong>-10%<\/strong> points weekly, reaching <strong>-30%<\/strong> in the first week of April.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-UK.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2825\" src=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-UK.png\" alt=\"COVID-19 Demanda UK\" width=\"894\" height=\"521\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>The Netherlands<\/strong>: demand fell by <strong>-35%<\/strong> in mid-March 2020 and has been stable at<strong> -35%<\/strong> until the first week of April.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/COVID-19-Demanda-Holanda.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Global<\/strong>: global demand has suffered a drop of <strong>-35%<\/strong> since the first mid-March 2020 and has remained stable at these levels until
