{"id":2447,"date":"2019-08-19T16:19:11","date_gmt":"2019-08-19T16:19:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/?p=2447"},"modified":"2019-08-19T16:19:11","modified_gmt":"2019-08-19T16:19:11","slug":"product-solutions-european-providers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/en\/product-solutions-european-providers\/","title":{"rendered":"Product solutions: European providers"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>There are many auto parts suppliers in Europe offering product solutions to replace vehicle parts (light vehicle, industrial, truck, agriculture, marine or other).<\/h4>\n<h4>In the article we wrote in January 2018, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/en\/2018\/01\/30\/the-million-dollar-question-how-many-different-products-exist-in-the-automotive-aftermarket\/\">The Million Dollar Question: How many different products are there in the aftermarket?<\/a>\u201d We have already addressed the issue of calculating how many different product solutions there are for starter motors and alternators; approximately 40,000.<\/h4>\n<h4>In the article we wrote in February 2019, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/en\/2019\/02\/15\/do-you-still-play-the-lottery\/\">Do you still play the lottery?<\/a>\u201d We estimated that in Europe there was demand for approximately 15,500 different product solutions.<\/h4>\n<h4>In this article we want to analyse<strong> the level of coverage offered by the main manufacturers and distributors of starter motors and alternators<\/strong> for all these product solutions that are currently in demand in Europe in the various application segments.<\/h4>\n<h4>Based on more than 10 million searches during year 2018 in Europe, this is the breakdown of demand according to the various application segments we have analysed:<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Demand-Europe-ENG.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2449\" src=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Demand-Europe-ENG.png\" alt=\"Demand Europe ENG\" width=\"566\" height=\"313\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>As we can see, approximately 41% of the demand is for Light Vehicle applications. The second application segment with the highest demand is Industrial with 15.5%, followed by Agriculture with 12%, Truck 10.5%, Marine 7% and other 7%. Finally, we have another 8% where as yet we have not been able to associate it to any specific segment.<\/h4>\n<h4>If we now analyze some of the main manufacturers we can obtain the following coverage data on the current demand in Europe:<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Manufacturers-coverage-ENG.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Manufacturers-coverage-ENG.png\" alt=\"Manufacturers coverage ENG\" width=\"695\" height=\"234\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>* Margin of error: +-2%. The availability of products in warehouses has not been verified.<\/em><\/h4>\n<h4>If we now analyze some of the main distributors specialized in starter motors and alternators in Europe, we can obtain the following coverage data on the current demand in Europe:<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Electrical-specialists-coverage-ENG.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2451\" src=\"https:\/\/www.factorydata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Electrical-specialists-coverage-ENG.png\" alt=\"Electrical specialists coverage ENG\" width=\"697\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>* Margin of error: +-2%. The availability of products in warehouses has not been verified.<\/em><\/h4>\n<h4>These high levels of coverage by distributors are achieved by making product ranges that <strong>intelligently combine products manufactured for them, products bought from different manufacturers and rebuilt products<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<h4>The problem is that, as we know, new needs for product solutions are continually emerging as many others become obsolete and are no longer needed.
